The State of Solana Beach Technology
August 13, 2007 by professortosa
With the end of another fantastic summer and the beginning of school I wonder, what is the state of technology in our district? Certainly I know what the CTAP survey shows, but I want to know where our teachers think our strengths and weakness are. Where can I help teachers first to make a difference in our classrooms?

What a great question, professortosa. I think that the first bit of tech that I would like to learn is to better utilize Keynote software in my class. I understand it is easy and a useful presentation tool, but I just haven’t spent much time and really just need a touch of instruction to better understand the basics.
It is true, Speedy, that you are simply an alias of myself to get this ball rolling, but you have a valid question on a topic that will be addressed during the two Buy-Back days. Check out the two Keynote workshop days given by me, ProfTOSA, on Thursday and another on Friday. Oh, and bring information that you might need so that you can create a presentation for Back to School Night!
Well Speedy, and everyone else, what fantastic two Buy-Back days we had! The Keynote workshops were a great success and you were right, it is a great place to start. The SBSD teachers are ready to get techy and I’m excited for the year to start!
